Dr Sahara Bhanot is a biotechnologist and entrepreneur, holding a PhD from University of Manchester. She is Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of LanthaGen Bio, a startup developing sustainable, synthetic biology-based approaches to rare earth metal extraction. Her doctoral research focused on biosynthetic platforms for plant-derived therapeutics, and has pivoted towards her passion for applying biotech to critical mineral recovery. Sahara actively strives to inspire the next generation of women in STEM.
