Liz leads the Turing Innovation Catalyst Manchester, an £8m+ AI project incubated within the University of Manchester, but focussed on catalysing an entire AI ecosystem across the Greater Manchester city region.
From a standing start in summer 2023 the TIC team is now hands-on helping to build AI ventures, products and careers - and are proud to have put the AI ecosystem on the trajectory to deliver an additional 75k jobs, more than $25bn of GVA, and with an ecosystem value of over $15bn by 2035. Liz has also recently been appointed to a new role as Strategic Advisor to the Greater Manchester Combined Authority on AI Ecosystem Growth and Development, providing senior AI leadership to enable the delivery of key priority projects in AI innovation.
