Dr Taz Aldawoud, NHS Innovation Accelerator Fellow - Founding CEO of Doc Abode
Dr Taz Aldawoud is a GP, NHS Innovation Accelerator Fellow and founding CEO of Doc Abode, a nationally recognised digital health company helping the NHS deliver faster, safer care closer to home.
He combines over 20 years’ clinical experience with senior NHS digital leadership, including his recent role as Chief Clinical Information Officer for the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and previous work as a Digital Clinical Adviser for NHS England. He has also recently been accepted onto the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme.
Before founding Doc Abode, Taz spent more than a decade as Director of Clinical Innovation at West Yorkshire’s urgent care provider, where he pioneered one of the NHS’s first award-winning telehealth services.
Doc Abode works with Integrated Care Systems and NHS provider Trusts to improve workforce capacity, responsiveness and patient outcomes across urgent, community and out-of-hospital care. Independently evaluated evidence has demonstrated improved productivity, increased service capacity, cost-effectiveness and reduced reliance on temporary staffing.
Taz is focused on how clinically led digital innovation can support neighbourhood health, integrated care coordination and safer care closer to home.
